DESCRIPTION:Strengthening Communities of Belonging: Reconnecting\, Restoring\, and Rebuilding \nNow more than ever\, we recognize the need to connect with our communities and the importance of belonging as a determinant of health. We are excited to announce that we plan to convene the 13th annual Health Equity & Social Justice Conference in person this year\, providing a space to rekindle our networks and renew our collective passion for health equity. We look forward to sharing best practices with our research and practice communities and centering our efforts to facilitate health and well-being across Chicago. Please join us! \nKeynote Speaker: Derek M. Griffith\, PhD \nDr. Derek M. Griffith is a Founder and Co-Director of the Racial Justice Institute\, Founder and Director of the Center for Men’s Health Equity\, Member of the Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center\, and tenured Professor of Health Management and Policy at Georgetown University. Dr. Griffith’s program of research focuses on developing strategies to achieve racial\, ethnic and gender equity in health and wellbeing in the US and across the globe through policies and community-based programs. Dr. Griffith is a DePaul alumni\, having obtained his master’s in the Clinical-Community Psychology program. \nRegistration is free-of-charge and open to the public.
