This Minority Women’s Health webinar will focus on health promotion, cardiovascular health, age appropriate screenings and access to health.

National Minority Quality Forum, Center for Sustainable Health Care Quality and Equity

She is currently the Director, Quality Improvement and Equity at the National Minority Quality Forum’s Center for Sustainable Health Care Quality and Equity (SHC). In her role, she ensures the engagement and implementation of education projects for clinical teams and community leaders to address health disparities in diverse and underserved populations among other duties. Her programs include the Faith Health Alliance, Community Pharmacist Ambassadors program and the DRIVE program which she co-leads.

Celina Gorre
Chief Executive Officer, Women Heart

Celina Gorre is the CEO of Women Heart, the leading nonprofit focused on greater awareness and education on the number one killer of women, as well as the injustices that women face in their heart journeys. Prior to Women Heart, Celina served as executive director of the Global Alliance for Chronic Diseases, where she led the GACD Secretariat based in London, funding research in over 70 countries around the world. She also worked in the field with United Nations Populations Fund and UNICEF in Angola as a senior advisor to the Angolan government on HIV/AIDS and child survival and to multinational companies on their social and local community investments.

Celina also has extensive experience developing health and social programs for multinational companies. She has worked for the Global Business Coalition on HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria (now GBC Health), guiding companies such as Nike, Volkswagen, Colgate, American Express, and Chevron, on their strategy implementation for employees, consumers, and communities. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in psychology, a Master’s in Public Health in epidemiology, both from UCLA, and a Master’s in Public Administration from Harvard University.

Reverend LaChaune Nicole Slater
Lead Pastor, Payne Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church

LaChaune Nicole Slater is a native of the Magic City – Birmingham, Alabama. Blessed with a servant’s heart, Nicole is an ordained minister serving as Lead Pastor at Payne Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church.

With 15 years of experience in the death care industry at Davenport & Harris Funeral Homes, Inc, Nicole is credentialed with the International Conference of Funeral Service, and is a Licensed Funeral Director, Cremationist, and Pre-Need Salesperson.

Driven by service and making a difference, Nicole volunteers with several civic organizations, and is a distinguished member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. She also serves as a member of the Board of Directors for F.I.R.E., Inc. and Davenport & Harris Funeral Homes, Inc.

Terrie Branch
Serial Entrepreneur, UMD HAIR Wellness Warrior

Terrie Branch is a Hampton, Virginia native, who wears many titles. Of those titles, she is a published author. Her author journey began, with her first book “The Game From A Woman’s Perspective”, which was subsequently received with great reviews! With the success of her first book, she went on to pursue her next writing project. Soon after, she signed with “Kiki Swinson Presents:”, where she released her “Gotta Be Sheisty” series in 2015. She served as the Newport News Branch-NAACP supervisory election committee chairman (2020), served on the WIN (Women in NAACP) committee (2019), Executive Board as Membership CommitteeChairman, and currently serves as 2023 Vice President. Her passion for the homeless lead her to serve on the Board of Directors for Menchville House Ministries.
