As more law firms cement their office policy, they are defining “flexibility” in a variety of ways, with some firms dictating which days lawyers should be in the office, others just mandating any two or three days of the week, and a minority set of firms requiring no days in the office.
But regardless of the policy, law firms are finding plenty of criticism from both partners and associates alike, with some threatening lateral moves to firms with more favorable policies—highlighting how difficult it will be to please all.
