‘Vineyard Vibes & Breast Health ConvHERsations’ brings wellness, screenings, and sisterhood to Martha’s Vineyard to close the breast health equity gap for Black women

NATIONWIDE — Breast cancer nonprofit, SurviveHER, in collaboration with the National Minority Quality Forum (NMQF), proudly presents “Vineyard Vibes & Breast Health ConvHERsations, ” a one-day health and wellness experience designed to empower Black women through culturally responsive breast health education—taking place Wednesday, August 13, 2025, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.

Hosted just steps from historic Inkwell Beach, this intimate two-hour activation—part of SurviveHER’s signature TreatHER Tour powered by Novartis—invites guests into a safe, beautiful space where advocacy meets self-care. Attendees will engage in interactive wellness stations, enjoy pink sips and light bites, and leave with self-care gift bags—all while gaining vital knowledge to take charge of their health.

The experience includes:

  • Breast Health ConvHERsations
  • Free Bexa non-invasive breast exams (schedule here)
  • Breast self-exam demonstrations
  • Clinical trial education & health literacy resources

“Five years ago, I was fighting for my life. Today, I’m fighting for the lives of others, ” said Lyndsay Levingston, Founder and Executive Director of SurviveHER. “This experience is about making sure Black women are seen, heard, and equipped with the resources we need to survive and thrive.”

“NMQF is proud to partner with SurviveHER to bring this activation to Martha’s Vineyard, ” said Taylarr Lopez, Director of Strategic Initiatives at the National Minority Quality Forum. “Our goal is to bridge gaps in access and education, especially in communities that have been historically overlooked. Events like this are the blueprint for real health equity.”

This event seeks to reach and impact 50 women with tools for early detection and long-term wellness. Event registration is open at Eventbrite, and donations to support SurviveHER’s mission are encouraged on-site.
