February 10, 2022 – Healthcare Network announced that it has received a grant from Collier County, to expand its COVID-19 outreach program. The grant is funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and is administered by Collier County’s Community and Human Services Division.

The three-year grant will provide nearly $300,000 to support the growth of the health center’s existing COVID-19 Response (Community Outreach) Team with six additional full-time community health workers. Throughout the pandemic, the multi-lingual response team has provided testing, vaccines and education through door-to-door outreach. When identified, the group has also helped families connect with local resources for physical and mental health, food and housing assistance. The funding and expanded team will enable the health center to establish outreach programs in underserved areas of Collier not yet receiving these resources including:

  • Everglades City/Chokoloskee
  • Golden Gate Estates/Orange Tree/Oil Well Road
  • East Naples (Lely)
  • Naples Manor/Bayshore/Shadowlawn
  • North Naples
