The Doctors of Community Act was introduced to the United States House of Representatives on April 25, 2023. The bill, which has bipartisan support, would make the Teaching Health Center Graduate Medical Education Program permanent as well as expand its reach. The program provides education to dental and physician residents so they can work in underserved areas and settings such as federally qualified health centers and Tribal health clinics.
