National Minority Quality Forum Announces 2022 “40 Under 40 Leaders in Minority Health” Award Recipients — The National Minority Quality Forum

[ad_1]

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Today, National Minority Quality Forum (NMQF) announced its 40 Under 40 Leaders in Minority Health for 2022.

Since 2016, NMQF has selected 40 minority health leaders under the age of 40 who have been leading the charge to better patient outcomes and build sustainable healthy communities. These leaders are clinicians, patient advocates, researchers and policy makers. Despite the unexpected trials in health care during the past couple of years, these 40 leaders persevered in strengthening their communities and reducing health disparities.

“This year’s class of health leaders is outstanding and represents the progress to come in our healthcare industry,” said Congressional Black Caucus Health Braintrust Chair Rep. Robin Kelly. “These young leaders are working to eliminate health inequities and improve outcomes across the country. Their dedication is inspiring, and I know that their intelligence, care and determination will contribute to a healthcare system that works to heal everyone.”

Gary A. Puckrein, Ph.D., President and CEO of NMQF, echoed Rep. Kelly’s sentiment.

“When I founded this organization nearly 25 years ago, I never imagined I would have the opportunity to work with and learn from these young leaders that have been on the front lines, doing the work, keeping us educated, safe and healthy during this coronavirus pandemic.” he said. “I am honored to welcome our 7th class of 40 Under 40 honorees.”

The 40 Under 40 Winners will receive their awards during the 2022 NMQF Summit on Health Disparities and Spring Health Braintrust April 25th and 26th. For information and registration, please visit www.nmqf.org/nmqf-events/2022annualsummit.
