While reflecting on the mass shootings in Buffalo, New York, and Uvalde, Texas, the leader of the nation’s top public health agency says she’s speechless, calling the incidents a serious public health threat.
Dr. Rochelle Walensky, the director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, was a guest on Friday’s edition of “Closer Look.”
Walensky talked with program host Rose Scott about several topics, including how her agency is addressing gun violence, the COVID 19 pandemic and the agency’s work to dismantle racism in public health.
