The Banijay-owned production label Banijay Mexico & U.S. Hispanic has partnered with Mexican comedy star, actor and writer Ricardo O’Farrill on a new unscripted comedy series.
The yet-to-be-titled series follows a team of comedians led by O’Farrill, who is in charge of finding “solutions” to everyday problems through comedy, research and interviews with experts. Joining O’Farrill in the series are comedians Isabel Fernandez, Karla Camacho and Josuesy.
O’Farrill, Fernandez and Camacho have all appeared on Prime Video’s Last One Laughing Mexico (LOL).
Marie Leguizamo, managing director of Banijay Mexico & U.S. Hispanic, said: “We are thrilled to be teaming with Ricardo and some of the top emerging comedians in the region on this unique comedy series that will make you rethink ‘solutions’ to everyday issues. This is a series that we believe has the potential to become a successful format that can be produced locally on a territory-by-territory basis.”
