Cerebral to Add 500 Employees to Support Its Efforts to Improve Access to High-Quality Mental Health Care

SAN FRANCISCO–()–Cerebral Inc., the leading online provider of psychiatric and behavioral therapy services, announced today plans to hire an additional 500 full-time employees by the end of 2022. The new roles will help support the company’s rapid growth and provide services to its more than 420,000 customers to date.

“Our mission is to provide access to long-term, high-quality mental health care for all,” said Kyle Robertson, CEO of Cerebral. “By adding to our dedicated, talented team, we will be better positioned to make this mission a reality.”

The new positions will range from finance, technology, sales and other corporate functions, and will be located remotely allowing candidates to work from anywhere in the U.S. Since the company’s founding in January 2020, it has grown from 5 employees to a workforce of more than 1,000.

Callender added that the new full-time roles will offer competitive compensation and benefits, including stock options, health and life insurance, 401k, and unlimited paid time off.

Cerebral maintains one of the most diverse clinician groups of any healthcare organization. Among their providers, 75 percent are female and 45 percent identify as African American, Hispanic or Asian. Their executive leadership team is 45 percent female.

Cerebral also continues to add renowned leaders to its advisory board, which helps provide guidance on strategy and quality. Current members include Thomas R. Insel, previous director of the National Institute of Mental Health, and Jeffrey B. Kindler, former CEO of Pfizer.

The company has no plans to slow down. With a recent $4.8 billion dollar valuation, Cerebral is the fastest growing online mental health care company in the world. Their subscription base grew 400 percent in 2021, supported by a clinical team of 2,500 which includes licensed prescribers, therapists, and counselors.

Their services are now available in all 50 states and are expanding into international markets. They continue to expand their services and offer care for conditions which include but are not limited to anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar, insomnia and PTSD. The company plans to support substance use disorder in the coming months.
