Jan. 5—Glen Oaks Hospital in Greenville has welcomed a new leader to take the helm of the mental health and substance abuse facility — naming Harry Lemming as its chief executive officer.
According to a release from the hospital, Lemming “brings a wealth of experience and a passion for health care leadership that aligns perfectly with our commitment to excellence.”
Lemming’s journey in health care began in 2006 and his career has spanned diverse roles — from coaching to recruiting physicians in underserved areas. He entered behavioral health as the director of business development and integrated health care strategies at TMC Behavioral Health Center in Sherman, Texas.
In 2020, he assumed the role of CEO at at the facility during the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. His tenure, according to the release, was “marked by exceptional achievements including consistently exceeding budget expectations, successful TJC certification, the establishment of three outpatient programs, achieving a top 20 ranking in UHS behavioral health quality of care and recognition as a Cigna Center of Excellence.”
Lemming’s commitment extends beyond health care. He actively supports local athletics, serving as the 7-on-7 coach for Denison High School, contributing to community development initiatives and holding leadership positions in organizations such as the Texoma Behavioral Health Leadership Team and the Texas Hospital Association Leadership Development Council.
A husband of 27 years to Michelle, Lemming and his wife are the parents three children, as well as a 5-year-old granddaughter and a 10-month-old grandson.
