In this episode, learn more about the inaugural summit on Extreme Weather Impacts on Latina Maternal and Children’s Health. Recently held in Phoenix, the event featured health professionals, government officials and environmental justice advocates. The event highlighted the interconnections between extreme weather, maternal health and children. Dr. Eugene Livar, the chief heat officer at the Arizona Department of Health Services, will tell us more about the impacts of extreme weather on Latina maternal health and children’s health.
