Welcome to our weekly roundup of impactful health equity events nationwide! These events tackle health disparities, community engagement, and equitable healthcare access for minority communities. Whether virtual or in-person, they offer insights, networking, and advocacy opportunities to drive real change. This week’s highlights: discussions on racial health disparities, career development, and community well-being. Don’t miss these opportunities to learn, connect, and take action!

 

1. Johns Hopkins Center for Health Equity: March 2025 Health Equity Jam Session

Virtual | March 12, 2025, 3:00 PM – 4:30 PM EST.

Focus: Featuring Dr. Gaurav Dave presenting “At the Crossroads: Implementation Science and Integrated Care”

Join the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Equity for the March Health Equity Jam Session to hear from Gaurav Dave, MBBS, DrPH, MPH, who will present his talk, “At the Crossroads: Implementation Science and Integrated Care,  this virtual session focuses on integrating implementation science with integrated care models to advance health equity.

 

2. Xavier University’s Health Disparities Conference

New Orleans, LA | March 9 – 11, 2025
Focus: Black & Latino Health Equity Research

One of the leading national conferences on racial health disparities. Discussions will cover community-driven research, healthcare policy, and culturally competent care for Black and Latino communities.

3. Navigating the Current Public Health Job Market

Connect2Care hosts a health session on Understanding Mental Health and Stress, led by Dr. Noel Manyindo, covering causes, risks, prevention, and treatment options. Designed to support underinsured New Yorkers, some sessions also include free medical screenings and lunch for attendees.
