This webinar brought together leaders from the Data Equity Coalition to discuss how better demographic data can support stronger advocacy, more informed decision-making, and improved community health outcomes. The conversation introduced the State Advocacy Toolkit and explored practical ways advocates, community leaders, policymakers, healthcare organizations, and other stakeholders can use data to advance equity-focused policies and programs. Speakers discussed the importance of data disaggregation, the 2024 update to federal Statistical Policy Directive No. 15 (SPD 15), and opportunities for states to strengthen data collection standards and improve community representation.
