Join the National Minority Quality Forum (NMQF), in partnership with the Alliance for Gout Awareness (AGA) for a discussion on the newly released Gout Index. Gout is a painful and debilitating chronic disease that affects more than 9 million people in the United States. However, social stigma and health disparities around the disease persists, affecting patient access to timely and effective treatment.

NMQF and AGA will host a panel discussion to share key observations yielded from the U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) claims data, which was used to create the Gout Index. Topics will include racial and geographic breakdowns, disparities in cost of care, provider understanding of the disease, and key policy recommendations.
